Solar Street Lighting

Self-powered LED lighting for roads, campuses and communities.

Solar street lights are self-contained units — a solar panel, LED luminaire, battery and smart controller on a single pole — that light roads, car parks, campuses and public spaces with zero grid connection, no trenching and no electricity bill.

01 — Overview

Light without a cable or a bill

  • Photometric design sets pole spacing
  • Panel, LED, LFP battery, smart controller
  • No trenching, no grid connection
  • Remote monitoring across the whole fleet

02 — Applications

Where this technology is applied

The settings we most commonly deploy this system in, and the duty it performs in each.

  • Municipal roads & junctions

Photometric-designed pole runs light carriageways and crossings without trenching or metered supply.

  • Industrial parks & yards

Perimeter and yard lighting supports night operations and security across large unserved sites.

  • Campuses & institutions

Lights walkways and parking at schools, hospitals and universities, improving safety after dark.

  • Trading centres & markets

Extends commerce into the evening in peri-urban and rural centres beyond the distribution network.

  • Car parks & forecourts

Motion-responsive units light commercial parking with no cabling works and no ongoing energy cost.

  • Cable-theft-prone corridors

Self-contained poles remove the copper runs that make conventional lighting a repeated target.

03 — Outcomes

Safety after dark, at no running cost

  • Zero metered energy cost, permanently
  • Stays lit when the grid goes down
  • No copper runs left to steal
  • Evening commerce and safer movement

Solar street lighting delivers safety and activity after dark exactly where extending the grid would be slow and costly. Because each pole is a self-contained power plant, there is no trenching, no cabling and no metered electricity bill — the running cost is essentially zero, and the lights keep working through grid outages that would leave conventional lighting dark. For municipalities, estates, schools, industrial parks and rural trading centres, that means lit roads and public spaces that improve security, extend commerce into the evening and enable safer movement, all without a recurring energy cost or the vulnerability of copper cabling to theft. Modern LFP batteries and intelligent dimming give multi-night autonomy, so a run of cloudy weather does not plunge a street into darkness. Deployment is fast and modular — a single junction or an entire road network can be lit in a single project — and remote monitoring lets an operator maintain a large fleet efficiently. Over a 10-year-plus service life, the absence of energy and cabling costs makes solar street lighting markedly cheaper than a grid alternative in most off-grid and peri-urban settings.

Best suited to

  • Roads, car parks, campuses and public spaces off the grid
  • Municipalities and estates avoiding trenching and metered cost
  • Areas where cable theft or outages plague grid lighting

05 — Delivery

The installation process

Every installation follows the same engineered sequence, from first survey to commissioning and handover.

  1. We conduct a photometric design for the area — pole spacing, height and luminaire output — to meet the lux levels the application requires.

  2. Each unit integrates a high-efficiency LED luminaire, a monocrystalline panel, a lithium (LFP) battery and an intelligent controller with motion and dusk-to-dawn sensing.

  3. All-in-one or split configurations are selected by site, with poles and foundations engineered for local wind loading.

  4. Smart controllers dim during low-traffic hours and brighten on motion, stretching battery autonomy through cloudy spells to several nights.

  5. Because there is no grid connection, installation avoids trenching and cabling — units are simply mounted and commissioned, cutting cost and disruption.

  6. Optional remote monitoring reports faults and performance across a whole network from one dashboard.
